It begins long before the flight. In a moment of exhaustion. Of silence. Of knowing that something has to shift. You hear it first in your breath—shallow and weary. Then in your bones. You crave space. Beauty. Truth.
A rhythm that doesn’t grind you down. You crave a return to your body, to your softness, to your soul. You’re ready to stop holding everything and finally be held. You’re ready to come home to yourself.
Not to who you were before the world asked so much of you. To who you are underneath it all.
This is BodyMind Italy. A 10-day transformational retreat for the
individual who is ready to stop performing calm and start feeling it—for real. A journey into nervous system repair, emotional reclamation, ancient beauty, and the kind of deep presence that can’t be faked.
We are not touring Italy. We are letting it change us.
Then, on the morning of October 28, we gather. Our private driver will meet us in Rome and whisk us out to Hadrian’s Villa—one of the most expansive and visionary ruins in the Roman Empire. We'll wander through majestic colonnades and secret gardens, then celebrate our gathering with a farm-to-table lunch in Tivoli. Afterward, we stroll through the Renaissance wonder of Villa d’Este, its cascading fountains and frescoed halls marking the beginning of your return to self. As the sun dips lower, we head north into the Umbrian hills, where our countryside villa awaits with a light dinner and deep rest beneath the stars.
Seven nights held by Umbrian hills, where every sunrise brings movement, breath, and presence back into your body. Daily BodyMind sessions with Carolyn anchor your mornings—practices held outdoors, on terraces and lawns overlooking the rolling hills of Umbria. We move gently, somatically, with reverence for what your body wants to release and what it longs to reclaim.
Day 2: We explore Orvieto—its cobbled streets, artisans’ shops, and towering Duomo. We’ll share a long Umbrian lunch, then dive into its Etruscan past and Renaissance masterpieces.
Day 3: After morning movement on the villa estate, we enjoy a tasting and cellar tour at a nearby winery, then walk the footbridge into Civita di Bagnoregio—a cliffside village seemingly floating in time. Dinner is yours to explore solo.
Day 4: It’s olive season. We harvest together—laying nets beneath trees, learning from local producers, and tasting the bright green oil straight from the press. Our group dinner is rich with flavor and connection.
Day 5: A full-body soak in the Saturnia thermal springs awaits. These ancient waters, rich with sulfur and minerals, offer purification, grounding, and gentle letting go.
Day 6: We pilgrimage—starting at Orvieto’s open-air market to gather picnic supplies, then walking part of the Via Francigena to Lake Bolsena, pausing to reflect, journal, and connect with the land.Evenings return us to the firelight, to candlelit tables, to hands on heart and the gift of being witnessed. We let go—quietly, truthfully, together. What no longer serves us is laid down in the stillness of the Umbrian night.
Day 7 brings our transition to Rome. We say goodbye to the villa, carry its stillness with us, and move into the Eternal City. That evening, we trace the fountains of the Acqua Vergine, walking paths where ancient water still flows.
Day 8, we explore the bones of Ancient Rome with a private guide—the Forum, Colosseum, or Baths of Caracalla—before a rooftop BodyMind session to help your body absorb the depth of what you’ve witnessed.
Day 9, our final day, we step into the grand halls of Roman art and spirit—perhaps the Capitoline Museum, the Vatican, or the Pantheon—and reflect on who we’ve become. That evening, we celebrate over our final dinner: not with fanfare, but with fullness.
Day 10, we part ways after breakfast. But the change lives on. This is not a retreat. This is a rebirth.
